aplumbforehue

Just one among the trees so tall,
was chosen from among them all
to stretch n touch the cloudy sky,
beyond where the feathered will oft fly,
limbs further still in darkness reaching,
to learn what stars beyond are teaching,
for a tree can only know so much
with merely clouds n' sky to touch
so then at night in darkness glistening
for answers to that unasked are listening
gather n' sparkly bright twinkling eyes
peer down from above blackened skies
as somewhere beyond a branch is reaching
to learn what those beyond are teaching
as silent secrets in hiding lie
n' dawn awaits suns prying eye
arrived with light n' darkness blind
purple plumbs have grown with time
to feed those whom below each tree reside
n' upon which time shall eternally abide
